Not knowing your body shape its hard to say. I am a little plump (okay, fat ) and had the same issues but more in my hip area and it didn't matter if I carried IWB or OWB. Bought a new gun belt and it helped some but not completely. Then I started wearing suspenders and it eliminated the pain.
