You apparently have zero clue what you are talking about. You should probably try to educate yourself a little bit before you run off at the mouth again.

The COC is, first and foremost, a motorcyclist rights advocacy group. COC dues go to help fund safety awareness campaigns like the Share the Road campaign here in Texas, as well as political advocacy against things like Motorcycle only checkpoints and other motorcycle rights issues.
You're naïve to think that the Banditos are funding the "Share the Road" campaign. That's from TxDOT. I'm in media advertising and have worked on the account. It's funded by TxDOT through grants and can be easily researched on the internet as well. They may spend some COC money on attorneys and lobbying, but they aren't paying for advertising campaigns.

You need to separate the Bandidos and the COC in your mind. They are not the same thing. And the COC definitely participates in spending funds for activities related to and coinciding with the Share the Road campaign and other motorcycle awareness initiatives throughout the state.
I have refrained from posting again on this topic until it came back up.
First, let me say I was at a CoC meeting last month and the Bandito's were the least represented of the meeting. Cossacks were there and also under represented as have been both clubs since the Waco disaster. However, I will say that in the group that was arrested, 2 were members of BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse) 1 was a leader of CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association) and 1 that was with MRC (Masonic Riding Club). All have been released on the $1M bond. Charges have since been dropped on the rider from CMA but the members of the other 2 clubs are still awaiting trial. I know all 4, and have ridden with them all for many years. None of them are outlaw or a member of a 1% club. Just guilty because they rode a motorcycle and wore a vest irregardless of what patches the vests had on them.
What it all boils down to is profiling, just as some on here have done without knowing anything about it except what the MSM wants you to know. The sad part is that the money raised to have these 4 released could have been going toward the charities the ride with instead of bail. I would like those of you that are judgmental on this issue to find out all of the facts about the case before passing judgment on all of us that ride a motorcycle, especially if we ride with an organization.

Re: Shooting at Twin Peaks in Waco

Looking at the forfeiture list, there are 2 people that were not charged with a crime but yet their motorcycles were forfeited. Doesnt seem right.

Re: Shooting at Twin Peaks in Waco

First report that Waco PD (or MSM) put out was 12 shell casings of which 10 were by LEO.
Not sure how factual the report is and we may never know the truth

There's something deeply wrong with that...

And, no, I don't buy for one second that to evangelize to these bikers one must appear to be like them to gain access to their cancerous souls.

Baloney!
I will give you my reasons for wearing a vest while riding:
(1) Its a place to conceal my EDC
(2) The vest is some protection if you go down. In fact it has kept road rash to a minimum on me on one occasion.
(3) It also offers some protection from the elements on cooler days
(4) It makes it easier to be accepted by the bikers that you are to minister to.
(5) I have found that it is also easier to be accepted by prisoners when doing prison ministry.
(6) I like wearing a vest

Re: Shooting at Twin Peaks in Waco

They will come out on top as they should in a tragedy such as this.
All I am saying is there are those in law I forcemeat, in society, and on this forum that profile to the point all of us are guilty because we ride. Or all of those at this event are guilty. That is profiling.
Same thing if OC passes without the amendment that LEO cannot stop you just because you OC. Profiling.

As you may can tell from my avitar, I ride a Harley, I am a patch wearing member of the Patriot Guard Riders, The Masonic Riding Club, and Fellowship Riders. Yes I have a vest for each orginazation and wear each proudly.

I have been to more than 1 of the TXCoC meetings representing one or more of these orginizations and to get insight on new and existing laws, safety campaigns, and upcoming rallies. Untill a few months ago, there was never an issue anywhere near this magnitude but there have been some minor altercations that were quickly put to rest by the membership that was there. However, this event has been brewing for about a year. Now I am not going to put blame on any club because I wasn't there by the grace of God. I do know that the Cossacks did not want to conform to the "rules" butin my opinion, there shouldn't be "territory" anyway.

With the above statement said, I am no outlaw, I know some of you here personally and don't think you consider me an outlaw. I don't ride with outlaw clubs UNLESS it is to benifit a charity I believe in such as Toys for Tots, Scottish Rite Hospital, Shriners Burn Center and etc. So to say that because I very well could have been to this event makes me an outlaw biker gang member because I associate with them on occassion is ludicrus.

Now, I have been on this forum for a long time and one of the best things that I like about the forum is that for the most part we all believe in the constitution, at least unbtil now. I am shocked tpo see the posts that agree with arresting everyone, if you associate with these clubs you must be an outlaw too, and none of these people should have a CHL because they are all criminals. This is no less profiling than a LEO stopping you because you have a bulge that may or may not be a legally carried gun, or because you drive a 1960's muscle car, or you live in a "bad part of town". IT'S PROFILING no matter how you twist the words.

Now, I don't know who all was arrested or what clubs they belonged to. But I can tell you there are usually no more than 20-25 people from each club present at a CoC meeting, if that many. So it tells me that most likely there were some arrested that were no more a part of this than I am.

Also, if this scenario were carried out at a gun show where they arrested all that came out, everyone here would be screaming.

Remember folks, "judge not lest you be judged". I also aske for prayers for the families of those affected by this horrible incident.
When is the last time 9 people were killed at a gun show? Of course we just as soon call it a gun show given the fact that over a thousand weapons were confiscated.
Before Sunday, when was the last time 9 people were killed at a CoC meeting?
Just as a gun show, could happen
I just prefer not to have my civil rights trampled on by profiling

I'm not hearing or seeing anything about OC on this story from Fox, abc or nbc local stations here.

This is a squabble between 2 or more 1% bike clubs. Most of those involved would not be eligible for a CHL
