I couldn't live with myself if I didn't stop to help a possible injured person.
That said, once he got up and ran, it's time to do the 911 thing and report. It could have gone real bad real fast for you. Now, on a different note, had it been a serious crime (i.e.-kidnapping, assault) in progress, I would have probably intervined after calling 911 to report.
