i run 1911s, and have since childhood... i've always been dumbfounded by folks' need to 'detail strip' a 1911. my old 'farm .45' used to get field stripped and blasted with brake cleaner every May when i got back on grandad's farm... whether it needed it or not... :) yeah, i can do it, have done it....

by the way, why do they require you to send in photos, then just use the one off of your TDL?

57 days. sped right through once they 'received' documents.

my license came in the mail today... 57 days, mailbox to mailbox, according to my calculations. i'm still not very happy about having to jump through so many hoops, and pay so much money for rights i thought were already mine. if this isn't 'infringing' on my right to bear arms, i must be missing so...

well it's done... card came in the mail today.

what if i can't stand to walk in a walmart? I know, I can't stand going into Walmart either. But I think I might do it next week after my CHL arrives just for the sake of tradition :patriot: i here you... maybe i'll go in there and grab a gallon of motor oil or something.. no. no, i can't do it.

mine was supposedly mailed on the 12th... still nothing in the mail.

i've actually been carrying mine around a bit..... mom and dad's, around the house, when we are off in the middle of nowhere with the boat. just to see if anyone notices, and to get comfotable with one 'on person'. in fact, i think i'll carry to dinner tonight... it's fun to be an outlaw sometimes.....
