Re: AFTER the Wait is OVER
Finally did the Wally Walk!! Then did a Home Depot walk the next day.
Carried a Shield in the front pocket of my cargo shorts for the Wally Walk. For Home Depot, I carried the Shield in an hybrid IWB Foxx holster set at 4 o'clock. Using Federal HST 147 grain JHP.

Re: AFTER the Wait is OVER
Feels great to finally get my license!
I ordered two holsters from Amazon today. Amazon has a very good return policy. Both are OWB holsters. I figure that I'd give OWB holsters a try.

Re: AFTER the Wait is OVER
Thanks for the info. That's good to know. I'm still trying to figure out a holster that provides the best balance of concealment, comfort, and useability. I like my Foxx hybrid holster, but it's a little cumbersome to get it all set up.squidmotion wrote:as of some new legislation... absolutely no problem... it's our job to conceal, but it's nothing serious if you happen to be 'made'.... unless you are in an unauthorized place.

Re: AFTER the Wait is OVER
If someone figures out someone is carrying, what's the repercussion from a legal standpoint, assuming its a place where carry is allowed?

Re: AFTER the Wait is OVER
I've had my CHL for a whole week, but haven't done the Wally Walk yet. Carried twice at night when walking the dog around the neighborhood, but not in a public places with people yet.

Re: AFTER the Wait is OVER
Thanks for the suggestions!jayinsat wrote:ARMANIUS, I highly suggest you start carrying around the house as much as possible as well as in your vehicle. Keep your firearm with you 24/7 on your own property and disarm in public, locking it in your vehicle (maybe get a vehicle safe). By the time you get your license, carrying will be second nature.armanius wrote:I'm still waiting for my CHL as I'm in the "under review" period.
For those who already got their CHL, where did you first carry to?
And for those who are about to get it, what's your plan?
For me, I'll probably wear it the first time walking the dog around the neighborhood. I live in a "developing" area. But I first need to develop skills to manage a concealed weapon (as opposed to just having a good time at the range).
And great stories folks! Keep them coming!!
I'll put the Wally Walk in my first CHL destination!
