My girlfriend's father approached me recently about getting his CHL. It seems a co-worker of his wants to get his license, and apparently my influence was a positive motivator. He has decided to take the course and get his CHL. They plan on taking the course from the CAPS folks in the next couple of weeks. They rent 9mm semi-auto guns to folks that need them for qualification at a cost of $20 including ammo. That makes for essentially free rental with the cost of the ammo (he only has a revolver, so I recommended he use a rental to get the SA endorsement).
They are an all-inclusive course with photos, fingerprints, and notarization included.
They sound like good folks, and I'll report back with his impressions once he's taken the course.
