If it's any help, I use Hornady XTP, and have had no problems at all with it. I have had nothing but good experience with this ammo, and it feeds beautifully in every gun/caliber I've tried it in.Disturbed wrote:Picked up the Ruger LCP right after work today. Went home grabbed some cheap ball ammo and went back to the range and put 150 rounds through it. This little thing is a wonder, I was able to keep 3-4inch pattern at 50ft, and stack em at 7ft. Thats not bad for such a shorty, I can normally hold a 2-3 inch pattern with my Glock 19 at 50ft with custom barrel and recoil reducer.
The only thing i've noticed so far, is i've bought some Cor-Bon JHP ammo for it, until i can order some Buffalo Bore, and it seems to feed real tight. I have to give the slide a little nudge forward on the first round. Now i have not tried shooting the cor-bon yet as i bought it on the way out, but i'm not sure if this is gona be an issue, so i guess i'll wait on carring it till i get some cor-bon through the business end.
Cheers and thanks for the advice.

Re: Small CCW Question.
I've only heard one report that wasn't totally positive about the LCP, and that had to do with a specific type of ammo not feeding properly.mr.72 wrote:I thought early reports were that the LCP is less reliable and worked-out than the P3AT ???
I have one myself, and have had no issues at all with it. I've put about 200 rounds (from 4 different manufacturers) through it so far, with no failures whatsoever.
I believe it to be superior to the P3AT in workmanship, and it feels much better in the hand.
