An Republican alternative by Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, which would require that law enforcement be alerted when anyone on the terror watch list attempts to buy a weapon from a licensed dealer. If the buyer has been investigated for terrorism within the past five years, the attorney general could block a sale for up to three days while a court reviews the sale.
So the AG blocks the sale, which court reviews the sale? A court of one's peers? What if they say no sale? Do you go to court immediately to defend yourself? Are you blocked for months while the court further investigates? Does whoever put you on the list publicly testify?

I just want to know, how long can one be delayed the right to purchase a firearm while the FBI investigates? A month? A year? Indefinitely? Gotta be careful here.
