disagree. Both Defcon on memorial near dairy ashford and AGR out in cypress have been very good on pricing.llanite wrote:So I've had really good and really average experiences here. I've decided that if I really want something I find someone that's helpful and doesn't have an attitude. If they do, I just walk and come back another time. Doing this I picked up a used Browning .22 for only $145. The mags needed new springs and its shot like a dream since. I've also picked up extra mags for my wife's Kahr for about $10 under MSRP. New guns are still stuck on stupid compared to Buds or other online suppliers, but that problem is endemic to all Houston gun shops.

Re: Walked into Collectors Firearms in Houston...
definitely a cool place to check out.
have tried to work a couple deals there and they just wouldn't make it worth it.
also came off as very 'sucks to be you if you don't want to spend your money here' attitude. a couple of the guys are super knowledgeable there...helped me a lot on one of the guns i own. the same guys also pretty much told me i was stupid for owning one of the guns i owned about a month later. offered me $100 cash or 150 trade-in...sold it for 350 in a matter of 4 hours when i posted it the next day.
