Re: What Did You Do In The Reloading Room This Week?
I had a couple of hours today so I restocked my 44 mag hunting loads. Loaded 53 to be exact. I like to weigh each round that I use for hunting. Just recently acquired a Ruger Redhawk 7 1/2" so I shot quite a few rounds getting it sighted in at 25 and 50 yards. With iron sights 50 yards is as fa...

I think mine is self explanatory. It's also my brand "0C". My wife thinks I ought to use "no sense." It would fit too.

Re: opinion on Tarus Pt709 slim 9mm
The first semi auto I purchased was the 709. I couldn't hit the side of a barn with it. I'm sure most of that was my fault but the price was right for me at the time. I sold it and bought a Glock 26 and was amazed at how I was able to shoot it out of the box. I've since bought the 9mm shield and a s...

Re: opinions on lazer/flashlights for home defense
I have a rail mounted light on my sig 227. It is a quick attach type. I can remove/reinstall easily. I don''t have a laser but not necessarily opposed to them.

Re: Carry 'around the house'?
Absolutely carry at home mostly IWB. People seem to come over and I don't want to advertise I'm carrying. The family knows I do. Today, the bride and I put up a teeter totter in the backyard for the grandkids and I was toting my 1911 45cal and it sure felt good!

Re: S&W Shield - Does it like to run wet or dry?
I don't over lube Shield 9mm because I carry it regular. When I take it to the range I lube the rails with a little grease and a light coat of oil on the barrell and lug. Otherwise I just use light oil where the book recommends. Never had problems.
