NICS PUT ON HOLD
I have a question for anybody in the know about NICS checks. I went to buy a gun from my FFL guy, who I have literally bought hundreds of guns from over the years (the last one was 3 weeks ago). I go in today to pick one up and my NICS get's put on hold!!---this is the first time it has ever happene...

MEMORIAL DAY
Memorial Day and Veterans Day are the 2 holidays that really get to me--partly because I spend most of the day thinking about all my good friends that cannot be here with me to enjoy it. As a Vet, as I am sure I am not alone in this forum, I am filled with both intense sadness and intense pride. The...

Back in the Saddle
After a training hiatus, I am back at the Ponderosa. I spent three weeks in Camden, TN at Tactical Response "sharpening the blade" with Mandatory High-Risk Security Contractor Training and some awesome field Medic courses. If that was not enough, I had the opportunity to change climates an...

Nice to See You
Good to see a dedicated thread for rifles and scatterguns.....after all pistol's were made to fight your way to one of them--and rifles were made to fight your way to something belt fed with a high cyclic rate.
Keep it up Chas.

Re: 3 Gun Shotgun Suggestions
Shotguns--that wonderful versatile weapon--one of my true passions. I have several--the one I admire the most is my Standard 870 from Wilson Combat with Vang Comp mods. My most recent is the Mossberg SPX Semi-Auto--really affordable and all the bells and whistles for a PD shotgun. Your problem can b...

Re: taurus revolvers
I owned several Taurus revolvers, Ultralight .38, 651 Protector and 4" .357. I sold them all last month. The problems I had on all the models were all the same: cylinder not locking and bad timing. In comparison, I took the money and bought 2 Smith's--a J Frame Bodyguard model 638 and a L Frame...

Re: strobbing Flashlight
We have started using the First Light Liberators in our training---we also use and carry the Stinger LED DS. While on a job recently, our employer gave us a few of the Fenix lights--the CREE LED IMO although Chinese, it is the most versatile, potent and brightest little lights I have used--and I hav...

Re: AK47 style underfold advice Romanian vs. Yugoslavian
I have several Romanian AK's--the Underfolders are just WASR's with terrible folding stocks. Underfolder and Side Folders are window dressing---they are not functional and often are crap. I guess if you wanted it for historical value it is OK--but as far as shooting the gun--forget about it. It is s...

Re: What's up with the saiga 12 prices?
I own 5 (3 12ga, 1 20ga, 1 .410) -- bought them when they first came out. I have the hi-cap mags for the 12ga, paid $15 for them, now they are $50 or some crazy price. Now Tromix is buying them all up and installing a collapsible stock, calling them "Tactical" and selling them for $1200. S...

Re: Charlton Heston has died
A Sad Day indeed--I was a big fan of all his movies--Ben Hur was me and my Dad's favorite.
Let us all keep his memory alive and keep supporting the NRA and the RKBA movement.

Re: Tactical Question about home defense...
In Executive Protection we have something called the "HOME" Principle, which simply states, staying put if you have the Principal in tow (or in your case your family members) with a solid defensive position with solid cover and good lanes of fire, most often, this includes the control of o...

I think the entire forum needs to stand up and say "THANK YOU" to Thane for embodying the American Spirit of sacrifice and "manning the Wall" down there during this turbulent time. Speaking for myself, I admire and respect your courage and "can do" attitude--Most Americ...

Re: Get your AK while you can
Yeah, this link has already been posted in a previous thread, but good info. I would urge anybody out there to go ahead and buy as many AK parts/kits/complete rifles as they can soon--that cheap AK you could typically buy at 300-400 will soon be double that because of the CUGIR factory in Romania ha...
