NIghtmare you and I are pretty close on timeline and I did the online application..I hand delivered my packet to dps on feb 26th..we must have the same slow employee working on ours! I hope it gets here soon!

I contacted dps regarding an address change and spoke to Theresa last thursday..she confirmed that my status was still under background review and told me that the background check can take 60 days..I then said to her that the entire process should take 60 days and she told me no that the background...

I have moved as well since applying for my chl..two weeks ago I emailed dps requesting the address be changed and their website was still showing my old address so I phoned them today and spoke to theresa..she said an address change had to be submitted in writing and asked me when I sent the email.....

I was at the cedar park gun show in Austin yesterday and saw a couple dealers had one..the show is also going on today..if you are unable to go today there is a saxet gun show in Austin April 27-28 maybe you luck out there!

Like the other posters have mentioned it seems to be taking 6 plus weeks now for many of us to show received..I hand delivered my application packet to the dps office on Feb 26th and I also am still "awaiting required materials"..I'm hoping after the system update to see some progress.
