Good to know, I thought it had to do with accuracy. Is it also correct that you can't use lead (unjacketed) bullets in a polygonal rifled barrel? The Annoyed Man wrote:The main advantage of the polygonal rifling is allegedly slightly higher muzzle velocities, but I don't know that it makes much difference in a 3" barrel.mewalke wrote:I love my CM9 and shooting right next to a PM9 I don't see any loss in accuracy due to the standard rifling. The Annoyed Man wrote:Ditto, but plenty small, and if price is an issue, you can get the CM9 for about half the price of a PM9, which is basically the same gun but with fewer refinements.rbraughn wrote:I have a Kahr PM9. Re: Suggestions for a BUG or LCP
I was thinking the same thing. Most of the suggestions so far either have external safeties, like the P238, or are striker fired, like CM9 or Glock 26, both of which are features the OP didn't want.MoJo wrote:How about a J frame, LCR, or Taurus 85? Revolvers are less susceptible to pocket lint, and a +P .38 Special is more than adequate for self defense.
The Sig P290 would fit your criteria, but if you aren't opposed to .38 +P, a nice J frame or LCR would work really well for pocket carry.
