Well, glad y'all are safe.
I hope you did call and report the incident. Otherwise the dogs might next come across someone a lot smaller than you.
And the ending may not be so happy.

Well, maybe not teacher. Like my wife asking what time it, or what's 8.25% of the total.
Or at least the quick reference
There are apps for that too.

Re: Notifying a peace officer
If you don't have a permit must you still notify an officer that you are carrying in the car? I know it's best to do it no matter what but is it the law? By law, you are not required to inform. But, it might be a good thing on your part if you did. Being forthcoming will make the experience less st...

Well, if you were in North Tarrant County, I would recommend Keller Moviehouse and Eatery.

Re: Inside waistband holster ?
Ok, I'll chime in. Have you thought about where IWB you might carry? Most folks find between 3:00 to 4:30 works best. Please do not try to carry in the small of the back, google it and see why it's a bad idea. So, Single or double clip? Leather, Kydex, or hybrid? I have in my carry rotation a Ruger ...

Re: Jury Duty= Harris County
Guess you could have started quoting the Texas Penal Code.
Sec. 9.31. SELF-DEFENSE.
Sec. 9.32. DEADLY FORCE IN DEFENSE OF PERSON.
Sec. 9.33. DEFENSE OF THIRD PERSON.
Sec. 9.42. DEADLY FORCE TO PROTECT PROPERTY.
Sec. 9.43. PROTECTION OF THIRD PERSON'S PROPERTY.
( yes, I said penal!)

I bet the Hostess will not seat you if you are OC'ing. I doubt if it happens once seated.
If they wanna be 30.07 then they should post a proper 30.07 sign.

Re: New to the San Antonio area (hiking)
There are many great hiking areas around SA. Most within 2 hrs or less of driving. I have been to many, Garner State Park to the west, Enchanted Rock, Perdanalas Falls to the north. Bastrop to the northeast. Head 2 hours southeast to Corpus and walk along the beach. Or just go downtown and do the Ri...

Re: Advice for a newbie
Well, many options to choose. Think about what you want. Single clip, double clip. Material. I use either a a problem arises dbl clip for 3:30, a Remora or N82 for crossdraw AIWB for a SR9C. For the LC9, Remora with sweatshield or their Micro holster. Also AIWB crossdraw. Looks like the beginning of...

Re: S&W Shield - Does it like to run wet or dry?
Minimal oiling with a little grease on the rails.
Too much lube is more likely to act as a debris magnet.
Some folks use something like frog lube for a dry lube.
