Who gets to decide if a Law Abiding American is "really hateful" and "potentially dangerous"? Many "really hateful people, groups and governments" believe anyone with a firearm is "potentially dangerous". Can Law Abiding Americans who own firearms turn them in or is this idea just pointing at us folks who own firearms?
A hundred gun laws will not deter a criminal from being a criminal. I imagine that many new Laws would turn most Law Abiding Americans into felons. Let the confiscation begin...

I don't believe Law Enforcement can arbitrarily confiscate firearms from your car in Texas either, no matter how "nutty" one is believed to be. Of course we can always allow them to do it by inaction. Apathy is why we are where we are today. These "precognitive" crime stopping statements from those in Government serving the People need instant consequences. What should be done is a new APD Chief.
Society can easily defend itself from Evil without instituting a "witch hunt" for gun owners. If the APD Chief were concerned about rampant crime in Austin maybe he should call a town hall meeting and have some firearms instructors and gun dealers on hand to teach & arm those gun-less morons that leave their very existence in the hands of others.
