Humans have been hiding "stuff" from the dawn of time to keep themselves alive because their have always been those that wished to steal it or destroy it. Food, livestock, precious metals, guns, coins, currency, alcohol, children, families, anything of value that the Plunderers wanted has been hidden throughout history. Hidden from the Roman Legions. Hidden from the Nazis. Hidden from the British Empire. Hidden from Genghis Kahn. Hidden from the US Government. How dare you hide stuff. Now the State has outlawed hiding places.
When those that wish to steal from Society are the same ones that are elected to enforce the Law what is one to do? Voting hasn't worked in the last 100 years because those elected "human politicians" have created Law's that allow themselves to Lawfully steal from Society. New Laws against Property Rights and the means to protect Property are being written and we do nothing. Who's working for who?
