Completely forgot about the bone handled Buck Knives with really long blades and wearing camouflage to go straight to the woods after school.
If a crowd was gathering around a tailgate it usually meant a new gun or nice rack was at hand and everyone was checking it out, teachers included. We sure had a lot of show and tell in that parking lot with guns. Springwater on a Friday night in a milk jug was cool too and nobody ever shot anyone by accident. Things sure have changed.

Not at all. Almost every truck in the high school parking lot had gun racks full of guns, mine included. Most racks held two guns. I haven't seen or thought about these gun racks for a long time.
