I've been to Trader's once. A neighbor's home had been burglarized, and his cousin's friend's sister's boyfriend, convinced him that he would be able to locate/recover his property by taking a stroll through.Grillmark55 wrote:I've heard that Traders Village in Houston (never been - never going) has the exact 30.06 language on the back of the ticket that you get when you park. I read - possibly on this forum - that it was a legal "posting" of 30.06 since the owner is giving written warning. I doubt that all of the other 30.06 criteria would be met (1" block letters, etc) but I would tend to think I would have less of a legal leg to stand on than the owners.
In today's climate of anti Second Amendment, I'd rather not push the issue on the spot. I'd rather write the owners a polite letter explaining that I will be informing my PRO Second Amendment, money-spending friends (as well as posting on this forum) to AVOID their place of business. Money talks.
On 3 separate occasions I observed young men in distinctive vaquero/caballero garb who were obviously carrying without a holster in the appendix area.
2 nickel or chrome plated 1911s and one nickel or chrome plated N frame Smith. BBQ guns. I pointed these gentlemen out to my neighbor, and we left before completion of the "stroll".
I saw nothing that would entice me to return.
