Hate to tell you this, but that is how it worked for all of us. After submitting an application, the first update is that all materials are received and the background check has begun. Until that time, the website just says your application is received, but further processing is waiting on required materials, or the packet, as we refer to it. That seems to be taking about 30-45 days for most of us. From there, the background checks are taking 10-21 days, at which point the website will update again showing manufacture pending. Probably 5-10 days. Then, it's off to you in the mail. All in all, it seems the average time from sending your materials (packet) until receiving your CHL in the mail is about 60 days. Some are a bit faster, and some a bit slower. I'll bet 90% see the whole process take between 45-65 days.
