If you're basing that statement on what you see in this forum, you have to realize that not everyone applying for a CHL gets on this forum and posts their experience with TXDPS. It sure seems like most of us here are seeing the high end of that 60 day target, but it could just be we're the ones looking for a place to vent our frustrations, making it appear "everyone" is frustrated. JMHO.infoman wrote:30-34 days is totally wrong as an average. there may be a very small % getting them in that time frame but not the average. Plus, there's a big snowball effect going on now & they are getting higher volumes of apps everyday. it takes 34 days just to get new apps entered from the date the documents were physically received by their mail room.

Re: DPS is currently inputting mid Feb.
I'm guessing its the time in the CHL divisions "control". Besides, if I'm wrong, I'll be happier than if I guessed the other way. Again, thanks.Charles L. Manufacturing isn't done by CHL division personnel so it's out of their control.arawli wrote:So, just to clarify, by "turnaround time" do they mean the time to go from receiving the full packet (all materials) until they mail out the license, or is that the time only up until they give the green light to manufacture/mail it out out? Small difference maybe, but you know how we're all dying for info...any info. Thanks again.

Re: DPS is currently inputting mid Feb.
Thanks Chas, great insight. There are a lot of us on here who wish we could be a fly on the wall during those types of conversations.Charles L. Cotton wrote:DPS' current average turnaround time is 30-34 days. I was on a conference call with DPS yesterday and this was one of the items covered. Also, the statutory 60 days begins when they receive a full application packet, not when it's entered into the system.
Chas.
So, just to clarify, by "turnaround time" do they mean the time to go from receiving the full packet (all materials) until they mail out the license, or is that the time only up until they give the green light to manufacture/mail it out out?
