State Representatives and immediate results

All,
It had been 41 days since DPS signed for mine and separately 4 others of my classmates completed application packets. We all had our fingerprints done in late January. The five of us had tried many, many times to contact DPS regarding our status through multiple channels and were never provided with a response. For the past week we have provided our State Rep with all of our documentation and correspondence as well as the knowledge of a lack in response over the past 3 weeks. Yesterday we had a conference call with our State Rep's office and the results and immediate actions taken from the call have far exceeded our expectations.( So much so that I was able to have an assistant pick up a concealed carry Galco holster). Today mine and 3 of the other's status has changed.
True, the DPS has and is receiving 3-4 times the normal applications received in a given month. However, overtime has been approved as well as personnel resources allocated to handle this increase in applications has also significantly increased in a parallel fashion.

Anyone who has all of the following conditions apply should immediately contact either their Texas State Rep or Senator:
1.) Completed packet information (which contains HIGHLY sensitive personal information) confirmed via certified letter and in DPS possession for >30 days
2.) Have vigorously attempted to contact DPS regarding status, but have received no response
3.) Online status shows 'Awaiting Materials'
or
1.) Have not received license in 60 days

As law-abiding, extremely hard-working(I have my "day job" which is usually 10 -12 hours days running a major multi-national retailer as well as serve on the Board of Directors for the African American Urban League) citizens of Texas we are entitled to service. They are here to support us, not vice-versa. There is a reason why it's called public service and we individually pay tens of thousands of dollars in State property taxes annually. So please use these services to the fullest extent.

Edit: My apologies for not providing this earlier, but the following is a link to assist in finding you Texas State Representative:
