Off subject, but I love "It's A Southern Thing" channel. One of the few YouTube channels I subscribe to. :tiphat:

Re: debate = BUY SUPPLIES!

Let me ask y'all this, did last night change anybody's vote? Not just yours, but do you think it changed anybody's? I really don't think there are any "fence-sitters" in this year's election. Minds have made up all across America for a while now. :tiphat:

I was thinking the same thing, but I received an email from them yesterday evening stating they have received it and to allow 7-10 working days. :tiphat:

Lifetime Hunting/Fishing License

Has anyone recently purchased a lifetime hunting and/or fishing license? If so, how long did it take? I sent off all the required paperwork including a hefty sized check to TP&W in Austin last week and have yet to see or hear anything back including the check not being cashed. I'm assuming like ...

Re: So you want to buy a firearm during a pandemic

I know this is a thread drift, but TAM started it. "rlol" I too started "prepping" for a couple of years now. Being in the middle of Metroplex, they won't let me keep any farm animals other than chickens, so I got chickens. Good on eggs. I have planted only fruit trees and a gard...

Quick Question About Other States

While wasting some time going through ushandgun website, I came up with a question about our great state. Is Texas the ONLY state that allows license holders to carry in their capitol? I didn't go through every state, but none of the ones I did allow it. :txflag:

Re: Three years ago today...

I was fortunate to be born and raised in Texas. I have lived in other states and countries while in the military. While Texas is not perfect (aka liberal cities), I cannot ever see myself living any other place. A heartfelt belated "Welcome to Texas!" :txflag:

Re: Blue Bell ice cream - recall

H-E-B Creamy Creations has slowly but surely replaced almost all the BB brought into our house. Except Cookies and Cream, BB is still #1 there. This. Good stuff especially since BB uses HFCS. HEB uses cane sugar. :iagree: The problem for us northerners (North Texas) is HEB won't (or can't) move up ...

Re: Off The Beaten Path - Clarksville, TX

Nice article. Thanks! Up until last year, I hunted just outside of Clarksville. The owner sold the land. Really good deer hunting in that area. One of the last Piggley Wiggleys' in Texas that I know of was still operating there a few years ago. :tiphat:

Welcome to the forum! I also live (and work) in Garland and have a drawer full of holsters. Unfortunately none that would work for your guns. I did want to suggest that at the Garland Bass Pro and the Garland Academy stores have both let me "try" the holster to make sure it work before I b...

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but since I went there this past Saturday night, I thought I would give an update to those interested. Now called Dos Equis Pavillion, there are no signs posted that I saw, but there is a notice (just no weapons) on their website and there are metal detectors and wa...

AUSTIN — Texas lawmakers have passed legislation lifting the state ban on brass knuckles, kitty keychains and other self defense items. The Texas Senate gave the bill its final OK on Wednesday morning; it now heads to Gov. Greg Abbott for his signature or veto. https://www.dallasnews.com/news/texas...

Re: A somewhat unique situation.

Short answer: Your good on the bus, your "legal" at work, but could (and probably will) be fired if caught at work. As for keeping it in a safe and refusing to open if asked, I can't answer, but I work for city government and they search anything they want of mine if they suspect something...
