Don't get me started on obamacare. That's to him my health insurance is going up 25% this year. I've had to drop to the lowest plan available due to the rise in cost.

This is where I got it from. Why should I have to take care of a grown man or woman who refuses to work? Its sad that slavery still exists, the people who rely on Barry to survive are a slave to the system.

Re: Our welfare system recipients.
When our country was founded tons of immigrants came over here with nothing. There was no welfare at that time, you either worked or starved, no one there to take care of you. Now we have people who abuse the system who are capable of working but choose not too, why would they, Barry will take care of you with my money.cb1000rider wrote:
It's my money. Actually, our money... Tax dollars. If you don't support any sort of public assistance, at least indicate how those people would be taken care of or indicate that you're willing to deal with the reality of them not being cared for... Just a little realism, no judgment..
I know a few hard working people who lost their jobs and had to apply for assistance to keep their family fed, they didn't get it why I don't know. Those types of people who really need a little temporary help till they can get back on their feet I have no problem with. Its the types that won't work and just breed are the ones I do have a problem with.
So you saying if we were to cut off the assistance to the leaches there would be a rise in crime? Im sure there would be but I have plenty of ammo and ready to deal the reality.
In nature only the strong survive, in America the strong are forced to support the lazy.

Jakes on them I don't pay social security. State employee rules.AndyC wrote:Wow - fascinating read:cb1000rider wrote:If you want to rail against people that are abusing the system, you should read this: http://apps.npr.org/unfit-for-work/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
We're in really big trouble.federal disability programs became our extremely expensive default plan. The two big disability programs, including health care for disabled workers, cost some $260 billion a year.
People at the Social Security Administration, which runs the federal disability programs, say we cannot afford this. The reserves in the disability insurance program are on track to run out in 2016, Steve Goss, the chief actuary at Social Security, told me.
Goss is confident that Congress will act to keep disability payments flowing, probably by taking money from the Social Security retirement fund. Of course, the retirement fund itself is on track to run out of money by 2035.
Goss and his colleagues have worked out a temporary fix under which the retirement and disability funds will both run out of money by 2033. He says he hopes the country will have come up with a better plan by then.

Re: Our welfare system recipients.
Disability is the new welfare. Not hard to get, pay some doctor to write up you can't work then apply. Sounds easy enough.
I used to work for a grocery store in high school. I remember people coming in with their lone star card (food stamps) and buying cigs among other crap not food related. They would also cash out their card. If the card had 200 bucks for the month they would get 200 cash and walk out.

Re: Our welfare system recipients.
So you have no problem with some able body person who is perfectly capable of working but chooses not too and taking your hard earned money and buying booze, cigs, latest Iphone, 74in flat screen TV, or anything else that is considered a luxury? Sorry but I do have a problem with it.Tecumseh wrote:
I am sorry but in reality I have no problem with the government using money to help others. It is easy to complain about welfare recipients buying steaks or having expensive cars, phones, or TV sets but how do you know they didn't have them before they got on the welfare? And why aren't we complaining about subsidies to companies and corporations? Corporations are people and it is insane to see some "people" get billions of dollars of tax money and not complain about it but do complain when another person gets a few thousand a year to eat with. Isn't it?
