Aware me. I know we are talking about a school but I know a business can post the sign and forbid carry in the parking lot.Keith B wrote:The problem I have is many post on their entrances to the parking lot, not just on the building. That makes people that don't know any better believe that the parking lot is off limits as well.

Re: Anyone else local ISD posting 30.06 signs?
Our high school has a pool in the parking lot but its owned and maintained by the city.RoyGBiv wrote:A while back I saw that our local ISD had posted a valid 30.06 on the local swim center.
At first I was surprised that the local swim center would have a 30.06, assuming it was owned by the City.
oops.... It's owned and maintained by the ISD.
The 30.06 was a good reminder (of a bad law).

Link to this????C-dub wrote:If that were really true then they would also have read that the Plano ISD finally realized that their signs were unenforceable and removed them. Or they just choose to ignore that and continue their bully tactics.

Anyone else local ISD posting 30.06 signs?
I work for a big public school and at every campus and every building they have posted a valid 30.06. Why? Anyone who has a CHL already knows that schools are off limits to carry so why post it?
What about a school building that does NOT house teachers or students, like our maintenance shop or the administration building? Its just us maintenance staff and our office workers here. If it was not posted and someone who has a CHL came in could they legally carry?
