I actually owned a G27 at one time and I sold it to my former boss. Like most everyone else that has them, I had the extender on there (Pearce) so my pinky would have a place to rest. If I had known at that time that I'd be getting a G22 then I never would have sold it. It's still not my favorite Glock, but since my primary carry gun is the G22 then the 27 makes the most sense as a back up gun (same caliber, 27 can take 22 mag, etc).Greybeard wrote:Braden -
FWIW, almost everyone I know (men anyway) who have a Glock 26 or 27 wind up putting an extender of one type or another on 'em if they want a place for the pinkie. With the popular +2s, I think it actually makes 'em longer and bulkier than the Model 29 with the Pearce +0 (which is just right in my hand - and no "excess" in holster).
Per http://glockmeister.com/gpistols.shtml, compared to the 27, the 29 is roughly just 1/2" longer, 1/3" taller and 1/10" wider. But 2.7 ounces heavier. :(
By the way....66" is one BIG rattler!!
