That's true if he took 77 south. He would have gone up Monument Hill. He could have taken 71 down to Columbus and then on to 59 south to head down to the coast from Victoria.TxRVer wrote:If that's the bridge, the OP should remember taking the RV up the steep grade and sharp turns on the other side of the bridge.RJGold wrote:Sounds like La Grange... The old metal suspension bridge on 77 has been replaced with a modern bridge but there is still a metal bridge like the one you describe on the Business 71 Route. The Colorado runs through there and it is a fairly deep gorge with some homes on the hills and bluffs above it...steveincowtown wrote:Need the help of the forum/ my fellow Texans.
We have RV'd a bunch of times from Fort Worth to Port Aransas and have passed through a small town in between here and there that I would like to go back to but can't remember the name. It is a small town with a metal arch style bridge that goes over a river that isn't typical for Texas. The river is almost set in a gorge and has homes on the bluffs on each side. I really want to go boating on that river this summer.
What say you Texperts?
Just trying to figure out deep ravine rivers with homes. Could be the 360 bridge in Austin as well but there's not too many deep ravines that I know of between Ft. Worth and South Padre...
