I'd rather it be more difficult for an illegal to get a TDL than a CDL. My reasoning is that if someone wants to carry a weapon, they'll find a way to do it. I'm sorry for your troubles but I don't want it to be easy for anyone who has "out of the norm" circumstances to get a TDL.
