Approx 3 weeks later, I get a letter from DPS saying my application was incomplete.
I'm basically thinking, something didn't get matched up and I'm screwed. I tried calling their voice numbers but they were forever busy. So, I took a leap of faith and faxed my response! It contained their letter, a copy of my e-mail communication, both certified receipts, the customer copy of the certificate that was missing, and a professional sounding letter detailing the events that took place.I then recieved another letter from DPS about 1.5 weeks later saying my completed application had been recieved and directions to use the website to check my status. And I guess another 2.5 weeks later, a stark looking envelope came with that joyous piece of plastic. All in all, I gotta say the experience was very much in contrast to what I had been led to believe in terms of responses and correcting errors. I was surely dreading the deadly 'rejection' letter.
