Re: Liberal Agenda - in Denton, TX?

But thankfully, not all teachers are that biased.

My grandson was taking an honors American History class at Spring Hill ISD and he was required to do an involved research paper for History and it also would be used in honors English class as a dual assignment. He selected "Infantry Guns of the Allied Nations in WWII". His teacher approved the subject and was impressed with his knowledge of this subject before the research started. He completed a 15 page report with documentation and received an A+ in History and an A in English. The male History teacher told his Mother that he was not sure there was enough information on this subject, but was really suprised by the paper. It included where built, numbers produced, designers, manufacturers, and reviews by soldiers, officers and historians.

He also wanted to fire and handle as many as possible and we shot Garands, M-1 carbines, o3-A3s, Lee Enfields, 1917s and I managed to find several others for him to handle and sometimes fire at the range. He said he had lots of research on handguns, but did not include them. His comment that now he wanted to research the Axis guns of the same conflict. I guess shooting the 7.7 Jap got him interested in the other side.

Neither of these two teachers were shooters or hunters, but they supported their student in researching a subject that interested him. Teachers are like any other cross section of people: Good ones, bad ones and indifferent ones. Thank God that we still have good teachers--I feel that some of those who taught me back in the dark ages had a positive impact on both my success in life and my love of learning. I also have a school teacher wife, 2 daughters and a daughter in law, so I was required to say this.
