This is one of the main problems with all of the restrictive laws; it does not address the real issue which is what happens when criminals get their hands on guns. Paula Dean is being treated worse than a lot of bad guys who commit crimes with guns. If the courts don't get tough on THOSE people then there will be no reduction in gun crime no matter HOW many laws are passed.

But that is making the assumption that Legislators are interested in preventing crime; they aren't. They are interested in controlling people and the only way that they can have complete control is if there is no way for people to fight back.
