Re: Sig P938
I've had mine for a couple of years now. For carrying either as primary or a BUG, I love it. As others have said, the recoil can be a bit snappy. My kids won't shoot it, nor would my ex-wife. She prefers her 9mm XDs. The longer mag, as others have mentioned, make it much easier to hold. I have had a...

Re: Bullet falling from the sky kills Houston man
This nearly happened to my dad. As a teen he was hit in the leg by a falling bullet. He heard the sound of the bullet and describes it like a stick being thrown end over end. He thought his brother had thrown a stick at him. Bullet is still in his leg today. Would've done more damage to remove it an...

Re: Best Truck?
If I were replacing my truck today with a 1/2 ton, I'd look hard at the Tundra but a GMC would be my first choice. I've liked the Tundra for a long time. When I bought my truck, I needed a 3/4 ton and bought a GMC 2500HD with a Duramax Diesel. Mine is a 2011, but the current model has some very nice...

Re: Cremation or Burial?
One day an old man died and, per his wishes, was creamated. Several years later, his grandson noticed a cardboard box with the old man's name on the box. "Look mom, there's a package for Grandpa!", the boy exclaimed. "No son. That is not FOR Grandpa. That IS Grandpa!" "rlol&...

Re: Cremation or Burial?
My late wife died at 39 and was cremated. We had a regular service with a rented casket. After the service, they took her to the crematorium, so no procession. My mom died when I was 21. I now live too far away to visit her plot in the cemetery, and rarely have when I was back home over the years. I...

Re: Word use that drives you up the wall!
I had a salesman once that would call someone on the phone, and the first words he would say was something along the lines of, "I'm calling you on the phone to talk about...." Um, they know you're calling on the phone because they either answered it, or they are checking their messages. Ma...

Re: Parking lot
An employer can terminate employment for any reason (or no reason at all), so long as it does not break some other law such as discrimination laws or the parking lot law. At will simply means there doesn't need to be a reason to terminate an employee or for the employee to quit. If the employer hand...

Re: HK P30SK
I've shot the P30 for a few years now. The mags for the P30, P30L, P30SK and VP9 (assuming all 9mm) are the same and interchangeable. The P30SK may have a shorter mag as well (I beleive I remember that correctly) but the P30 mag fits but extends out of the grip a little bit. I don't think the P2000,...

Re: Cutting the cord
I cut the phone line a few years back. I had VOIP service and was only paying $9 per month, but we never used it. I now have high speed internet and DirecTV. I could ALMOST give up DirecTV but am not quite there yet. We watch a lot of DIY/food type channels, and I don't want to miss out on football....

Re: Confederate Battle Flag Feeding Frenzy
I recall being in high school on a band trip. As a joke, some friends covered another black friend's eyes and held up a confederate flag behind him. When he saw it he jokingly tore it out of their hands, laughing the whole time. I remember wondering what the joke was. I had a confederate flag hangin...

Re: Man Fatally Shoots Former Co-Worker
I know this company and some of the employees. They are one of our suppliers, and their sales manager used to work for me. The person shot is the Operations Manager. The suspect worked in the warehouse. The manager had just moved here from Atlanta. I haven't been able to talk to my friends there yet...

Re: Another GOP Traitor
I have only seen the text of the quote but not heard it. FWIW, it sounds like it was an attempt at sarcasm. Not the best topic to try that with since he knows those words will be used against a cause one would expect him to support.

That seems like a deal to me too. Too bad I already got my Fathers Day present.

Re: Personal legal representation
I've had my CHL for a few weeks now. Looking for advice from someone who has, or has not been through this. You fire your weapon defending yourself and/or your family, and the assailant is wounded or dead. In your home or not, doesn't matter. Who do you call after 911? Do you have an attorney on re...
