the border town cops are the most crooked, well, i won't even dignify them with the term 'police.' one of my co-workers has family down there and they frequently run from the police. 5 or 6 guys in a pickup with no radios, and most of them don't even have guns. he's been robbed by the police down there several times.
i say leave the gun and take plenty of money so you can buy your car back from the police.
