Keith, I know you were an LEO and so probably like to give the benefit of the doubt whenever possible, but saying its simply a knee-jerk reaction gives those folks too much credit, as far as I'm concerned. They have to know that these bans don't do the least little thing to reduce crime. I'm not saying that no ARs have ever been used in crimes, and you can correct me if I'm wrong, but I doubt that very many were being used in St. Louis in crimes that drove those numbers during that 5 year period. They just want to ACT LIKE they are doing something, IMHO, and something that plays well with their political "bosses". I am glad to hear that its unlikely to pass, for certain; the good people of Missouri don't deserve that sort of treatment any more than the rest of us would.Keith B wrote:Ellinger, Schupp, McNeill and Gray are all representatives from St. Louis county. The thing to remember is that Missouri is a very gun friend, predominantly rural state. I have two good friends that are representaitves there. I can tell you then predominance of the representatives will knock this down and I doubt it will ever see the light of day on the house floor.
