Re: 'We do not understand what antidepressants are doing to the brain exactly'

I'm with Paladin on this one, and have been thinking along the same lines for some time now. Many (most?) of these violent killers have been linked to use of antidepressants, or at least as having some history of severe mental illness. The human brain presents a huge unknown even to those who supposedly study it, yet Big Pharma has thrown sledgehammer chemical "fixes" at the problem of mental illness for quite some time now. People keep saying that Americans have always been quite well armed, and yet these severe violent crimes were rare in the past, and ask "what has changed?" Obviously, it's NOT firearms ownership or access that has changed, it's the way violent mental illnesses are handled that has changed.

At the same time, it is known that a certain violent political terror group actively recruits those who are addicted to drugs and/or have serious mental illness. The internet, particularly social media, has made it easier for that group to make contact with a wide variety of people and "weed out" until they find who they are looking for. Both the widespread use of these antidepressants and recruitment of folks on those meds are part-and-parcel of the entire problem.
