Re: Spoiling for a fight? You'll probably find one!
If the goal is to "sell" the somewhat dusty practice of law-abiding citizens going peacefully armed in the public square....some attention to MARKETING would seem to be prudent....( presenting/displaying the product you wish to sell in an appealing fashion ). The "product" of cou...

Re: ISIS Mall Attack - How can we prepare?
Some excellent comments....indicating that many are giving some serious thought to something like this transpiring. Aside from the obvious preparation of starting to carry more ammo....If good cover is not immediately accessible ...I would drop to the floor to minimize the size of my "target ar...

Re: One problem/issue if licensed OC passes
I predict no problems with law enforcement .......related to the open carrying of a holstered handgun in and of itself......assuming that a licensee exercises some degree of diligence in how they present in public.

Re: Libtards believe we are all a myth
Progressives ( aka "libtards" ) proudly boast an amazing ability to continually raise the bar in the art form of confounding, convoluting, and corrupting logic. Footnote: Just because a progressive admits to owning a gun.....don't assume for a minute that they think YOU should. Remember We...

Using such "logic".....there is no such thing as a criminal since they will sooner or later comply with some law.......

It requires no gift for imaginative genius to realize that the strategy of reducing the number of "welcome Mats" for armed citizens translates to more guns left at home or in the parking lot....like the situation at that Luby's Cafeteria in Killeen 2 decades back. Perhaps the MDA nags don'...

Re: Target respectfully requests that you shop unarmed
I understand that OCT has ceased the long gun walk-in exhibitions on private business premises. So we are now enduring the run-off damage from their earlier ill-conceived escapades. I know that references to "common sense" usually just get a guffaw - a wink - or a giggle....but ...sometime...

Re: Open Carry
The terminology "open carry" used to describe a holstered handgun that isn't hidden from view has stuck in my craw since the first time I heard it. I'm not kidding myself thinking we can shed the term entirely, but it's strikes me as being a bit of a "coming out of the closet" ty...

As I recall Ann Richards was also "a supporter of the 2nd Amendment" during her campaign for governor until she got elected - and then proceeded to veto the Texas CHL bill.

Re: Opinions/comments on parking lot guy approching me?
When my wife & I are returning to our vehicle in the parking lot after a shopping spree - especially around this time of year - I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if someone eyeing us was also put on notice that I am armed. Just saying..............

Re: knockout game
This video of a "KO game" failure may have been linked to already, but it's worth reviewing because there are strong indications that this victim was probably carrying a handgun in her purse. After a couple of recovery steps following the punch - she turns and advances towards her attacker...

Wendy Davis may not be "pushing" gun control (during the campaign) ...but she won't stand in its way either.

Re: Two arrested at Austin Capitol during open carry rally
According to the common sense approach used in the cited examples of case law - CONTEXT of conduct matters - as well as the language used in the text of statutes. If not presented in a threatening manner , and not functional/loaded - the PURPOSE for possession of these NON - firearms would appear to...

Re: Two arrested at Austin Capitol during open carry rally
Unfortunately the language used in the text of the laws actually DOES means things, and if it ain't "grass or weeds" it cannot be a code violation when it ain't cut.
