Ever since 1920 and maybe before, motion pictures have captivated the imagination and are one of our most beloved forms of entertainment and escapism. Being that the entertainment business represents a good business model when properly executed, I hope for the day when an alternative film industry rises to take on the sewage flowing from Hollywood. It can have it's own backers, its own Hollywood (like Mumbai for Bollywood), its own producers, directors, actors, guild, etc. It would focus on real entertainment without the gore, porn, and virulent agenda pushing emanating from the current movie capital. Shoot, maybe even some of the few good eggs that currently work for the enemy can cross over and help pioneer the business. One day...if only.

This has been my exact experience, but from the opposite perspective growing up. And, yes, as a kid I was one of those reformed "stark raving libs." Thank G-d, my family and I now attend an observant congregation, surrounded by folks who understand the importance of the 2A and openly speak of exercising our rights.

I say let them make their movie. It will have minimal impact for them and may galvanize supporters of our cause to be more vocal.

I am still surprised how many Jews are anti-gun.

Oddly, most of the Jewish kids I grew up with are staunch conservatives. They drilled WWII and Holocaust history into us at religious school (conservative to Orthodox Judaism), but at the temple across town (reformed Judaism) the kids were not exposed to the history of the Holocaust. Those kids are now mostly stark raving libs.
