My mistake for not fully understanding your post.Jusme wrote:Only a gun you would taking in to trade, buy accessories for, or have gunsmith work performed. Your carry gun would still be safely ensconced in a holster. There are numerous accounts of people walking in with guns to be handled, and they are loaded.rotor wrote:What? As you can probably tell we are pretty enthusiastic when signs come down that prohibit us from carrying. I can understand the fear, of having people walk in with loaded guns to trade, or have work done on them. I saw a great possible solution on another site, where the guns store had chamber flags available just outside the door for people to use to ensure they were unloaded before entering. Just a thought.
Stick around and you will find that we are a great group of folks to get to know.!!
The chamber flags would be for those guns, so that the customer could make sure they aren't loaded, and give the store personell peace of mind.

Re: Avenger Arms in Stafford
Smart move to remove signs. I suggest you go to https://www.texas3006.com/ to notify them that you are no longer 30.06 posted.avenger arms wrote:Here at Avenger Arms we have heard and read everyone's comments about our 30.06 sign. As the owner I have decided to take it down
last week. We hope the resolves the issues of our potential customers. Now that the sign is down we can't wait for all of you to rush in
and support us. Thank you

Re: Avenger Arms in Stafford
They could carry on permission of the owner on his property without a LTC I believe. Logic on these people is NOT going to work.Soccerdad1995 wrote:I'm tempted to ask the owner if he and his employees will show me their LTC's before I enter since I'm assuming they are armed. But I will probably just go have a passionate argument with a random 6 year old about how to fix the Social Security system. I think that would be less frustrating than talking with this guy.rotor wrote:From their Facebook page today..
"We have been questioned multiple times about our status of having both 30.06 and 30.07 signs posted outside of our store. That is correct. This is meant for the protection of our staff and surrounding businesses. If you have an LTC, it is required that you show the identification to the camera outside of the entrance and then you will be allowed into the store with your firearm. We apologize if this aggravates potential and current customers, but again, it is for the safety of our staff."
If a gun store owner is this stupid we will never convince any other kind of store that creating a "LTC gun free zone" doesn't keep out BG's with guns. You just can't use logic with some people. Maybe loss of $$$ will work.

Re: Avenger Arms in Stafford
Perhaps they figure that if you walk through their doors carrying you are there to rob them and their immediate response is to shoot you. No LTC people will break the sign law therefore you must be a crook. Sounds logical to me in a perverse way.
