I own a S&W Governor ( 410, 45ACP, 45LC) which I bought to carry on the ranch and is my open carry piece in the fields (which confirms that I will not OC in public). I tried the 410 just to see how it shot if I did see a snake and didn't have hearing protection. I was deaf for almost 2 days. If I do see a snake I will throw the gun at him. I would not want to fire that 410 in the house. Might never hear anything again. Don't know about 45 bird shot. Have not fired the 45 ACP or 45LC without hearing protection.

It's for snakes. The 45LC will work for anything else.
