I open carry on MY land even when not hunting. I believe that if you are hunting legally on land that you do not own than open carry is legal. So if you have that 44 mag revolver on your hip while hog hunting you are legal as long as you have legal permission to be on that land and are legally hunting. On your own land you can carry open or concealed. I believe this to be correct. Now, if somebody looks into your property and calls the law because they got alarmed seeing you with a gun you may have some explaining but I don't think the police can do anything. Correct me if I am wrong. I wouldn't be out on my property without my S&W Governor on my hip. I fired one of the 410 rounds once without hearing protection though and didn't hear for a couple of days. If I see a snake I think I will throw the gun at him.cb1000rider wrote:I had it wrong.. PC 46.15 makes it legal for you to carry, either openly or concealed, on property you own or control.
Not land you control - need to be hunting or involved in similar sporting activities that involve a firearm.
