if there is even a "hint" of unreliability with a personal protection handgun, why take a chance - find something proven to be a winner

hopefully I'll only need :
5 rds of .357mag
14 rds of .380
52 rds of 9x19
8 rds of 9x18 for SD
for the range: I've gotten 2 buys of 100rd 9mm ball (4 Federal & 3 WWB) at WalMart in the last week - but the shelves are, once again, empty

if "cost" of obtaining a CHL is a factor for holding off then, perhaps, a person with that thinking should consider a different interest

Re: Qualification with laser sights?
. our opinions are moot - you've got yours, I've got mine What is it about school that are different from Movie theaters, suburban malls, churches or Chuckie Cheese? exactly my point - scary isn't it (rhetorical) - because of recent "events" all of a sudden there's a gaggle of folks, who n...

Re: nervous about application procedure..
There's no point in checking your status, you haven't taken the class yet. After the class you need to mail in your class training form, CHL-6 form & your photos. another confusing "thing".. when we had our prints taken (Morpho Trust) the attendant also took pictures - but - the flyer...

Re: Qualification with laser sights?
..My guess is that many of the teachers who agree to do this are not regular handgun shooters, let alone having EVER shot a handgun before this. They're going to be called to use their guns in an environment with children all over the place.. now THAT makes for one scary picture - bad bad bad idea ...

. my Wife and I started our process on-line, including the paying of the fees. we then contacted the "Morpho Trust " people and got our appointments for fingerprinting and photo taking/that's been done for the both of us. we're now scheduled for our classroom/shooting qualification the 10t...

Re: CHL Proficiency caliber question
. the folks with which my Wife and I are taking our classroom/shooting portion of our CHLs require a handgun of .380 or more - no big deal - she's using one of our Glocks in 9mm and I'll be using a Glock 9mm or .40cal - or my new Browning HP 9mm :woohoo - 10th of February by the way - and we have &q...
