Re: Walkout at UT this Thursday
Oops - I didn't realize that the date's the anniversary. Had I realized that, I never would have suggested holding a sign or doing anything else that would be inconsiderate of those who died.

Re: Would you register your guns?
What guns? I sold all mine yesterday. But I do have this old, rusted-out .22 rifle that the guy didn't want. You're welcome to that, Mr. Secret Agent Man.

Re: Walkout at UT this Thursday
Can someone who's in Austin PLEASE, pretty please, take a sign with the Brady Campaign's "Don't like it? Drop out of school" quote on it?

Bonehead: As far as I know, campaign funds. Which leads me to ask if Obama used public funds or not. Can't recall...didn't care about that nearly as much as I cared about what he'd do after he won the election.

Re: It's starting to sink in for some folks
Some of Obama's supporters in Indiana were paid ten bucks an hour to campaign. (Gift cards, apparently.) Well, there was a problem with some payments, so some of the workers got shortchanged. At this? They were, of course, very upset. The problem's been resolved, granted, but the whining and complai...

Re: How long until the price gouging stops?
"My" guy, out here in the middle of nowhere, sold me an AR the day after the election...for the retail price in the Rock River catalog, plus tax. He was unhappy because he'd been hearing that some shops in the Metroplex area were already starting to gouge people. So...I'll be going back to...

Re: WTB CrossBreed Super-Tuck IWB HOUSTON
The CrossBreed ads in the NRA magazine mention an NRA member discount. Might help, might not.
I do love my CrossBreed, though. Wearing it right now and man, is it comfortable. Best 80-something bucks I've spent as far as firearms accessories go. :)

Re: New Concealed Handgun License for Sep 2008
Bro. got his CHL yesterday (very first one - he just turned 21 in August). New design...oh so very, very ugly.
Glad my old, cool license is good for another few years. :)

Re: 2008 Election, early voting. Do it!
I've had quite a bit of time (since O. the Nut really got started) to think about things like that. Give me enough time and I can be astoundingly clever. :) GrillKing: You're voting, so that's what counts. I just prefer early voting because it's more convenient for me. That, and I can, from this poi...

Re: 2008 Election, early voting. Do it!
I voted today. My precinct was busy...well...by our tiny-town standards, anyway. Even though I was there shortly before lunchtime, when a good number of people are still at work, there were lines - and I had to wait for a voting machine to open up. I've never had to wait for a voting machine before....

The Waterford posted? (San Antonio)
Hey, folks. Does anybody know if The Waterford (retirement community on Huebner) in San Antonio is posted 30.06? I haven't been down to visit my grandmother in a few years and honestly don't remember. But we're supposed to drive down there this weekend to visit, and I'd really like to know beforehand.

Re: Gas station employee fired for resisting robber
Sooo...the moral of the story is: Don't stand up for the littler person? Don't try to stop the bad guys from doing whatever they want in this crazy world? Sigh. I really hope that everybody within reasonable commuting distance of this gentleman offers him a better job than the one he lost. I know th...

Re: What to buy my wife?
Your wife might surprise you. We're all different, so you never really know what she'll end up liking until she finds The Gun. :) My best advice would be to pick a day when you and your wife can go to the shooting range. I'd let her look at a few of the rental guns and try whichever ones she thinks ...

Re: Cell Phone Ring tones
And if a file's locked down by DRM, you can download OpD2d to capture the audio as it goes through your sound card. :) Well...I don't know if there's a version for anything but PC, but it's still good to know. :)
