Northgate is pretty safe as far as bars go. Everyone's on their manners there, just drinking to have a good time. But the night clubs tend to bring out the worst crowds and the worst behavior. I do NOT go to any more night clubs. But I'd avoid the Depot District in Lubbock. Expensive and much more altercations than Northgate. Northgate is more of a laid-back country environment.
