This is my question on this whole thing. Why did the police bother responding? The second part of this question is why I support breaking some things out of police response. If it is not a crime, it should not be the police responding. Social workers in some cases, mental health people in other cases, and animal control specialists in still others. I have no idea who should have responded to a call like this, other than mental health workers to the principal's home.
