There seems to be some debate over whether or not the law treats a hotel room as it would your residence. Even the legislature seems to feel like a 30.06 warning would be effective in a hotel room since they passed a law this year (HB 333) on requiring hotels to provide notice on their reservations and in advance so you would know before you arrived. Legislative intent comes into play when the law is not clear, so this could be used against you in a case of a gun in a hotel room.

I would have agreed before that a hotel room was your residence, until this bill was introduced. This law took effect on Sep. 1.
