First, the Good Book calls us to be discerning of sin as well as forgiving. But discernment comes first.

Second, in my experience, those that at least follow the last five of the ten commandments tend to have better lives than those that don't. Following all ten is better yet.

Third, calling out sin by itself is not judgement. Only God can judge. Anyone who thinks they can determine where someone else will go at death is playing god and violating the first couple of commandments. Not a good idea.

Fourth, our society would be much better off if we went back to recognizing sin for what it is while forgiving the repentant.
