I was out at Elm Fork this afternoon with my son to shoot our 22 rifle. Boy what a difference. They actually have very nice pistol bays with 3, 7, 15 25 and 30 yard stations. They are putting in 3 pop up target bays, one cowboy and two terrorist. Since neither their centerfire or .22 ranges are open yet, they were allowing rifles on some 25 yard lanes. And they are black rifle friendly. When I got there, one guy was shooting a fully automatic M16 of some kind. It was pretty awesome!! My son really thought that was cool.

They also have taken out the tubes on the center fire range. I always hated those tubes.

The two rifle ranges are going to be open in January some time and for the time being the pistol range is only going to be open on weekends.

Most of the range guys are new, which is for the most part good although there were a couple of the old guys that I really liked particularly on the pistol range.

I asked about a shoot house but the people I talked to didn't know if that was coming or not

I got the strong impression that they want to appeal to more tactical shooters as well as target shooters and hunters. When they get it done, this is going to be an awesome range.
