This is almost like that story I heard about those two Aggie DPS troopers...

They caught this guy speeding in Waxahatchie (See I don't think I got it right)...

But since they couldn't figure out how to spell the aforementioned Texas town...They decided to let the guy go...

And catch him when he got to Waco...

I had made the suggestion, years ago, that if the CHL office could allow people like us to come in and help "sort" the packages coming in, and do non-investigative functions one day, one weekend a month...We could have a serious reduction in delays of permits that do not have problems that require no additional investigations, and that the non-security functions of the processing of these licenses would be improved dramatically...

At the time I was told that the non-investigative functions were what were holding things up...

They also told me that they could not allow people like us to come in to help...And I asked, "Well who do you have come in there to help you when things get overloaded?"

She told me they bring in College students from that "other" school there in Austin...

I gave up after I heard that...
