I would certainly not want to take a life for property!

If a person breaks into my house with all my trucks parked in the driveway, he is not afraid and poses a threat(either real or perceived) to me and my family. I will not take chances, I will take the offensive, I will confront the individual(s) and I will neutralize the threat with extreme prejudice!... It makes me mad to even think about some PERSON or persons having the STUPIDITY to enter my home and invade my families safe haven...Certainly nothing good could come from it other than one or more scum bags leaving this earth.

Sorry if I offended anyone.

my 2cts
No offence taken...I hope it is a two way street...

On one hand you say you do not want to take a life for property, yet in the next paragraph you get mad at someone elses stupidity, and will confront and neutralize the threat with extreme predudice...

Thats a big shift in viewpoints there kemosabe...

Something pushed yer buttons there muh man, and maybe its a good thing to get it out there for us to see...We are in no way your judge or jury...But I certainly wouldn't like to be one that has to sit in and judge you...

Lets not let it get out of hand here in public...If you wish to PM me or a few others on this site that I recommend, I think that would be a good lick...

If I am misunderstanding what you were trying to say here, that would be my bad...

I would be glad to talk to you about it, if you feel like it...

Stupid wrote:Please don't educate me the "castle doctrine", I know that. Surprisingly, I am not THAT stupid, yet, nor am I saying that you have no right to defend yourself/loved ones etc. We have the right and we have the laws on our side too - how often is that!!
Okay there, you got it...
All I am saying is, it's not our duty to catch bad guys or clean the street. Some of you may feel that way,
Again, that is an assumption on your part on how any of us feel...I do not assume anything about anyone, but I am very confident that many of us do NOT, and will not, consider taking action, or the law, into our own hands as brazenly as YOU are implying that we do...I find this comment you made alone to be antagonistic and offensive as any I have ever seen in this forum...
and certainly, I feel that way, but the laws are NOT on our side this time. It is our duty to survive and to protect our loved one by means of defense ONLY IF necessory.
So if you feel this way, and your assumption above that some of us feel that way, is wrong??? I'm confused...I know your trying, and I hope you spend some more time in here to get a better feel for what is discussed here a little better...I want this to happen for you...
Having said that, for those who don't understand what "defense" is, going to investigation mode with a gun and flashlight is NOT something a sane man would call "defense", right?
I believe we could probably learn something from you in this regard...
Yes, it's your home and you are allowed by law to do whatever, BUT, would you rather choose to face the deadly confrontation or would you do all you can to avoid it?
I believe I would want to do everything I can within the law, and the law happens to give us a lot of leeway in determining what we can do in our homes...BUT, you already know this...
Some many of you, maybe take a look at 2 books: "In the gravest extreme" and "Strong on defense", then we can probalby have some reasoning put into perspective.
Got those somewhere in Steve's library...Is there going to be a test?
BTW: get night vision, not flash light.
I hope Santa's good to me this year...

I can't stand it anymore...
Stupid wrote:I am utterly supprised to see many of you actually "went to investigate". What would you do if you were the bad guy and seeing some dude with flash light? Right, shoot the light!!!
Some of us are a bit smarter than that...And are a bit more reserved and better trained than the assumption you are making about the community here.
Call me stupid, but if I hear any suspicious noise, I would take cover and wait. Not to say I would call 911, but I would NOT go investigate. Put up some cameras. They are so cheap nowadays, a price of gun, you can almost buy 10 of them.
You said it, not me...
When somebody eyeballs you in the parking lot, instead of get in your car and drive away, you reach your gun??!!!
Sounds like you have a great plan there...Why do you assume (again) that that is anyone's first option?
I bet none of you realize, when in a road rage situation, the "bad" guy, scared away by your flashing gun, could just spend $5, get your address off DMV/DPS, show up at your place with a bigger gun and a bunch of bad guyS.
But you sure told us didn't you...How do you know it cost $5??? and that showing up with a bunch guys and a bigger gun that that is going to be an absolute possibility??? Never mind a very bad idea??? Legally and health-wise for the person spending the $5...

I've seen how you complain about how we are picking on you, but you do kinda leave the door wide open for us to be critical of your statements and assumptions...

I would say yes...

But you should not really be sad...Nor should you fear being labeled as paranoid...

You are a prepared individual, that values life, over the threat of harm or death against you or others...
