Bondsman won't even touch you until after you get magistrated and a bond set anyway, so it is much less critical than you might think.

Funny, a lawyer I know told me to not bother to call at 2am expecting an immediate response...He'll swing by later that morning to take care of it...
Advise on lawyers...Do a little research if you are so commited...Ask them flat out how they view the Second Amendment, and how they view CHL'ers and defensive shooting incidents...
I know of only three lawyers (in Texas) that are absolutely understanding (and knowledgable) about the issue, and they are on speed-dial...
