what about it's the backyard? if someone opens your backyard door and walks into your yard, it's a free target too?
You mean like the gas company meter reader? Or more like your neighbor's kid getting her ball if it goes over the fence?
:thumbs2: Good point...

Too many folks are quick to say they would discharge their weapons in these instances...Remember you might very well have the advantage in most of these situations...

But I challenge those here who actually carry, in say, their gated and fenced in backyards??? And to top it off, I have nieghbors who are more than welcome to bee bop into my backyard if the gate is unlocked and they know I am back there...As I am welcome to do so in theirs...

I'm not going to shoot my nieghbors at the drop of a hat...

Control, recognition and having the confidence in your abilities to take care of any situation with the appropriate response, in my opinion, is paramount...

Re: Shot in home.

Ok, I'll throw this twist into the mix...

Someone enters my home thru an unlocked door or window or some other access...

I observe this, (and determine it to be an unlawful entry) and instruct them to leave, and they do not comply...

At this point they have made no threatening move or action against me, I see no weapon either...They have also not attempted to obtain any personal property of mine as well...

Obviously, the next move is theirs...I am obviously prepared to deal with whatever they eventually do...
